i.xpo was founded under the name of FK-Messebau by Fritz Köhn in 1953. The family Graf von Spee has been owning the business since 1962. i.xpo is member of FAMAB, the trade association of stand construction specialists in Germany, since the seventies. The former Managing Director Köhn was chairman of the association from 1970 until 1974. Since its foundation the company has been located in Kaarst which up to the seventies belonged to the district of Duesseldorf. Today the company is located within the Rhein-Kreis-Neuss area. Since January 2008 the company was renamed i.xpo. Indicating the company´s longterm tradition, the current logo contains the original FK-corporate colour and elements of the count´s coat of arms.
